Be The Best Version Of Yourself
I am almost 10 months into my writing and content creator journey. I strive to be the best version of myself. I have written a lot about myself, my aspirations, my hopes, and my fears, so I thought to write a little about you.
You may think
“Jijo, you don’t know me, what can you tell me about me?”
Well, I can tell you one thing which will hold for every single one of you.
You Are Legendary
Table of Contents
You Made It
It is said it was 13.8 billion years ago that the universe came into existence, A dense fireball expanded, and stardust made us come into existence.
Earth is said to have odds of 1 in 700 quintillion to have come into existence as a planet that could support you.
The chance of you to exist on such a planet was 1 in 10^650 chance.
After beating all odds above you as a single cell defeated almost 300 million competitors to make your way into this world.
Hope you can see the number of odds you had to beat to be what you are. This is already enough to make you Legendary, and we have not even come to all the personal battles you have fought, all the struggles you endured, and how you are still sitting there striving every day to be better than what you were the day before.
I know this to be true about you since you are on the internet reading a blog on the topic of self-improvement and Life Lessons. Only someone who wants to be the best version of themselves would read stories on this topic instead of a million other things one can do on the internet.
What Next
At this point, you may say
“Awesome Jijo, thanks for letting me know, done, since I am legendary let me bask in its glory for the rest of my life”
You are legendary but this is not where this ends, it is where it begins. You are responsible for the world around you. You are a legend, but you may have yet to write your legacy. Every legend dies, what remains is their legacy, which you might still need to work on. You are responsible for being the best version of yourself while trying to bring the best out of others.
What Is A Legacy?
Legacy can be defined as a positive impact a person has on society around us. You need not impact the life of a million people, one person is enough.
Every single one of us has a superpower, a superpower that can be of service to others.
If you are a writer, write words that spread messages of love, kindness, confidence, and encouragement.
If you are a singer, sing such words as a song to fill a person’s day with positivity.
If you are a musician, add music to such songs which can fill the listener with positive emotions.
If you are an entrepreneur, create a company that is not conscious just of what your product earns for you, but what it does to uplift society.
If you are a teacher set your students on the path to success to be good human beings first.
This list goes on, we are 8 billion, and every single one of us can contribute to making the lives of others a little bit better every day.
It was one person who learned how to make fire to save our ancestors from potential extinction.
One person discovered medicinal properties in nature that led to humanity learning how to recover from diseases.
One person built a wheel which led to advancement in technology.
One person who decided not to kill but sort out differences by talking it out, leading to diplomacy as a channel to end wars.
Nobody knows their names but they are all legends nonetheless.
So are you, all you need to do is be committed to creating this legacy to ensure your legend never dies. They may forget your name much like the ones before us, but the positive impact you had in the life of even one individual can potentially uplift a generation.
Conclusion
You have travelled a billion miles, and beaten quintillion odds to be where you are right now. So please don’t squander this opportunity, write those stories, sing those songs, make that music, teach those students.
You are built of Stardust. You are Legendary, Write your Legend, Be The Best version of yourself.
